Don’t worry, you won’t need to pay anything to make a booking and it doesn’t matter if you are not sure what you need, we will be able to sort everything out for you when you come in or when we call you. There is guidance on our different types of appointment below the booking options. Myopia control can be discussed during a routine appointment.

Anyone entitled to an NHS subsidy will be able to use that towards their costs. A 45 minute appointment includes a full private eye examination, with 8 scan OCT, photography and eyewear needs consultation.

Problems Appointments (CUES / CORRS / MECS)

Book here for the soonest available appointment if you are experiencing an eye problem.

Problems appointments are suitable for symptoms such as:

  • Pain or discomfort

  • Redness or irritation

  • Flashes or floaters

  • Sudden changes in vision

  • Any eye issue you are concerned about

These consultations are often covered by the NHS.
Please note that advanced scans are not covered and may incur an additional charge of up to £69, if clinically required.

We offer a range of eye examinations at different levels of clinical assessment, allowing you to choose the option that best suits your needs. All appointments are carried out by Andrew or Roger, each with over 30 years’ experience in ophthalmology, ensuring the highest standard of care.

Platinum – Fully Comprehensive Eye Exam

£99 (£77 with NHS subsidy)
Required from age 40

Our most comprehensive eye examination, designed to support early detection of age-related eye conditions and long-term eye health.

This examination includes:

  • Comprehensive clinical eye health assessment

  • OCT scan

  • Wide-field OPTOS retinal imaging

  • Detailed discussion of findings

  • Tailored eye care recommendations

Clinical requirement:
Patients aged 40 and over are required to book a Platinum Eye Exam.

Gold – Advanced Eye Examination

Required from age 25

A detailed eye examination for patients seeking a broader understanding of their eye health.

This examination includes:

  • Advanced assessment of ocular health

  • OCT scan

  • Wide-field OPTOS retinal imaging

  • Review and explanation of results

  • Updated prescription where appropriate

Silver – Standard Eye Examination

A streamlined eye examination providing a clear assessment of vision and general eye health.

This examination includes:

  • Full vision assessment

  • Core eye health checks

  • Updated prescription where appropriate

Bronze – Children’s Eye Examination

Free of Charge
(Under 16s, and under 18s in full-time education)

An age-appropriate sight test focusing on visual development and early identification of potential concerns.

This examination includes:

  • Vision assessment

  • Eye coordination checks

  • Monitoring of visual development

Choosing the Right Examination

  • Patients may book their recommended examination level or any higher level.

  • Lower-level examinations are not available where a higher level is clinically required.

  • Your optometrist may recommend a different level of examination if clinically appropriate.
